Quality control

You will not be able to calculate any index value until you have run thorough quality controls using the 'Data quality checks' button.

The procedures will check spot-check and sweep-up data for any incomplete information and logical errors.

The information window will contain the list of all found errors (see below).  You can open the information window separately as a pop-up window by double-clicking on it.

Errors are colour-coded on the form (see image below)

• red for missing fields,
• orange for important errors,
• green for potential errors and
• yellow for fields that are not compulsory but would benefit future analyses.

Once the quality check procedures are passed (you may need to click the 'Data quality checks' button again), the buttons for analysing the data and calculating indices will be activated.
