Creating a new survey

To create a new survey and input data, click on the 'Create new survey' button on the main switchboard.

Survey formats

You can chose amongst a number of different formats: Standard 2003, Mediterranean 2003 and Phase 1 2003.

Each format is described in the description window. Standard 2003 is the default format for most surveys and we recommend that you use this format for your surveys.  The other formats were designed for specific surveys for Sites of Special Scientific Interest in the UK (Phase 1 2003) and for Mediterranean rivers (Mediterranean 2003).

Additionally, you can decide to add the Irish River Hydromorphological Assessment Technique (RHAT) scoring sheet to your RHS.  The RHAT is a separate survey based on RHS that features a scoring sheet for assessing the condition of the river heydromorphology for the Water Framework Directive (See the RHAT page for more info)

Select the required format and add-on and click the select button and a blank RHS data input form will open
